Call STEMI Alert by calling x8888 and saying “I would like to activate a STEMI Alert in the Emergency Department.”

Write down the time that they call back
Call the on-call interventional cardiologist listed in Lightning Bolt (See instructions below)
You will call their cell phone! DO NOT PERFECTSERVE!
Phone numbers are listed in the STEMI Binder and the Rolodex
4. Print a facesheet and an extra sheet of patient stickers for Cath Lab (Put these on the patient's bed with a sticky note that says "For Cath Lab")
5. Scan EKG into the chart so that the Cardiologist can see it!
6. Write down the time Cath Lab arrives to the ED
Write down the time they leave with the patient to go to Cath Lab
7. Document STEMI alert in special comments, STEMI Binder & AdHoc
8. Have charge sign the checklist form and place it in the back office.
